one of my early and enduring memories of Karen is not of being a fellow Church Walker, but in my capacity as the Military/Police Liaison Officer fot the area. I attended a large meeting, attended by many senior police officers. At this meeting there was a small woman (unbeknown to me a future neighbour) organising and herding these "burley coppers" with quiet efficiency with a huge smile and calm manner....she impressed me immediately.with her efficiency, it was only when I met her as a Church walker that i fully understood the lovely lady on a personal level.
